Challenge – Keeping 600+ Employees Caffeinated and Full

Toyoda Gosei, a manufacturer of automotive components located in rural South San Antonio, needed a way to keep its massive workforce nourished and productive in an area with hardly any food nearby, which led to several problems. First, Toyoda Gosei has a large workforce of over 600 employees all working in the same building. The sheer size of their operation makes it difficult to keep that many employees happy. It’s difficult to find vendors that are willing and able to service organizations of this size. Second, Toyoda Gosei employees get relatively short lunches and don’t have enough time to drive all the way into town, which is about twenty minutes away, to get lunch. Third, due to Toyoda Gosei’s size, their location needs to be restocked several times per day. This requires dedicated vending support to their building which is difficult even for the largest vendors in the country. Finally, the employees of Toyoda Gosei enjoy some items more than others, and these preferences change over time.
